Dr. Mark Carney, ND, LAc is a naturopathic doctor and an acupuncturist. His training includes a masters of science in Oriental medicine from International Institute of Chinese Medicine, a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, and a family medicine residency at National College of Natural Medicine where he was the recipient of the prestigious Benedict Lust award.
Dr. Carney, ND, LAc specializes in the use of natural therapeutics to treat virtually any kind of health care condition, as well as to prevent disease and enhance the health and wellness of all of his patients. Specifically, he is an expert in nutrition, herbal medicines, acupuncture, mind-body medicine, fasting and detoxification, and homeopathy.
Dr. Carney, ND, LAc served as the chair of nutrition for his profession’s national licensing examination, and he is a member of several professional associations. He regularly lectures at the University of Colorado Health Sciences, local corporations, and many other community venues, and he was a featured speaker at his profession’s annual national convention.
He has taught nutrition at medical schools. Also, Dr. Carney, ND, LAc is a medical editor and a contributing author for the Foundations of Naturopathic Medicine textbook, and has several upcoming books and articles.
His hobbies include hiking, camping, playing classical piano, and cooking. He lives in his native city of Denver with his wife, Dr. Carly Letzt Carney, DC, and daughter.
